Keen on seeing the top of Mount Fuji, but looking for something a little different to the usual climbing route? The Sea to Summit trail is a course that will push you to your limits, but is as rewarding as it is challenging. Here’s a quick introductory photo essay to give you an idea of what it’s about.

Note: The Sea to Summit hiking course can take 1 to 3 days depending on your speed and condition. Due to safety concerns, the hike should only be attempted during Mount Fuji’s climbing season. The mountain trails are off limits outside of the climbing season. You can try some other Tokyo hikes instead, though.
