Keen on the great outdoors, but not into roughing it? VISION GLAMPING Resort & Spa Yamanakako takes the hard work out of camping, leaving you with the fun stuff to enjoy — like starry skies, mountain views and a healthy dose of peace and quiet.
Close to Mt. Fuji, the glamping resort features spacious, airconditioned dome tents that can comfortably sleep up to four adults (on proper beds), private outdoor baths and sauna facilities. Dinner and breakfast are catered, and there is a fully-equipped kitchen (including a well-stocked fridge) for those wanting to whip up lunch or a midnight snack. There is also a BBQ grill. There may not be a hipster coffee shop on site, but the coffee machine and its *good* brews (which we have sampled) should suffice.
Other cool stuff at the glamping resort includes: games, extra blankets and coats, USB charger ports at the head of each bed, an outdoor fireplace with deck chairs (just for you and your crew), a Washlet loo, and showers with shampoo, soap and towels.
Pets and children are welcome. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available. Some staff speak English.
The resort is accessible by bus from both Fujisan and Gotemba train stations, and is about 90-120 minutes from Tokyo.
