What happens?
First revived in 2020 after a 44-year hiatus, the Arashiyama Autumn Fireworks were intended to boost morale during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now they’ve become a seasonal highlight.
The show lasts five minutes — a concentrated burst of Kyoto magic.

In 2024, a special paid viewing area was set up at Hōrin-ji Temple. Along with one drink, access to this VIP area costs ¥6,000 per person.
Details for 2025 have not yet been announced.
