Drink Belgian beer in Nagoya because… why not?
What happens?
Belgian Beer Weekend takes place in popular neighborhoods throughout the year. This edition has the same premise: to bring premium Belgian beer, this time to Nagoya. This year marks the largest selection at the Nagoya venue, with 21 beers making their festival debut.
You can also sample iconic Belgian foods, including fries, sausages, and waffles.
Enjoy live performances from Belgian rock band Ramkot and singer-songwriter Dressed Like Boys, plus DJ performances throughout the festival. The final day features Japan-based electro post-rock band Synchre.
Schedule
The event lasts a lot longer than a weekend, despite the name. It extends from April 24 to May 10.
Hours on weekdays are 4 to 9 p.m. (April 30 and May 1: 11 a.m. to p.m.) On weekends and holidays, things kick off at 11 a.m. and wrap up by 9 p.m. The final day goes from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tickets
Entry is free, but you’ll need the event-exclusive glass and tokens to purchase beer and food.
The starter set costs ¥3,750 (advance) or ¥3,990 (at the door), and includes a fancy souvenir glass and 13 tokens for beer and food. Additional tokens cost ¥1,150 for five.
