What happens?

With flowers come festivities. The cosmos flower, native to scrub and meadowland areas of the Americas, is no exception. This flower festival in Osaka’s Toyono celebrates the cosmos in all its glory.

Specific dates for this year have not yet been announced. However, the flowers generally bloom from mid-September to late October.

How to get there

The location is a bit of a trek from central Osaka. First, hop on Takarazuka Main Line from Osaka Station and alight at Ikeda Station. There, change to the Higashinose Line 26 bus and alight at Yono Station. You’ll need to walk about 2.2 kilometers (around 35 minutes) to the garden. The entire journey should take around 2 hours.
