A seasonal showcase of Kyoto’s weeping plum and camellia blossoms at Kyoto's Jonan-gu Shrine. What to expect Jonan-gu Shrine’s gardens display 150 weeping plum trees and 400 camellia trees in bloom come early spring. See the delicate pink, red, and white plum blossoms drape elegantly over Spring Mountain, and stroll among camellias scattered across the shrine’s mossy grounds. As the season progresses, enjoy the rare sight of fallen camellias and a "carpet of petals" from the weeping plums. Schedule 2025 The festival takes place from February 18 to March 22.
