International performances meet traditional Kansai Bon dancing on the Dotonbori riverfront.
What happens?
Dotonbori Bon Odori International is a free riverside dance festival where international stage acts give way to a large public Bon dance in the evening.
During the day, performers present music, dance, and cultural showcases from Japan and abroad.
From 5:30 p.m., gather along the Dotonbori riverfront to dance in a circle to Kawachi Ondo folk songs, Osaka Expo-related music, and the new “Yumeshima Ondo”, with lanterns lighting the walkway.
