Gundam Pavillion at Osaka Expo 2025

The Gundam Next Future Pavillion at Expo 2025 Osaka brings the iconic Mobile Suit Gundam universe to life through a full-scale statue, immersive exhibits, and futuristic experiences.

What to expect

At the heart of the exhibit stands a 17-meter RX-78F00/E Gundam statue, striking a bold pose as if it’s reaching for the stars. Reassembled from the Moving Gundam in Yokohama (although this one does not move), it’s the first life-sized Gundam to make an appearance in western Japan.

Step inside the pavilion and you’ll find a sleek, spaceport-like environment with themed areas (phases 0 to 7) that plunge you right into Gundam’s Universal Century — Gundam’s original and most influential timeline, chronicling humanity’s expansion into space.

Expect immersive videos, interactive displays, and a deep dive into the technology and worldbuilding behind the franchise. There’s also a shop stocked with limited-edition merch, plus a collectible-packed guidebook for superfans.

Schedule 2025

The exhibition runs daily from April 13 to October 13. The statue will be viewable from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. without reservation, while the indoor pavilion experience operates from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with final entry at 8:10 p.m. On July 20, a special Pavilion Day event will be held featuring the Universal Century Orchestra Concert at the Expo Hall “Shining Hat” from 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

Tickets 2025

Entry to the pavilion requires a general admission ticket to Expo 2025 Osaka plus a separate pavilion reservation. The concert on Pavilion Day is free of charge but requires advance booking.

Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
