Cute, ubiquitous, and curiously mute, Hello Kitty is more than meets the eye. This exhibition dives into the Sanrio character’s story and legacy.
What to expect
Since her debut in 1974, Sanrio’s mouthless cat has become one of the most recognizable figures on the planet. This exhibition traces Hello Kitty’s evolution alongside our own, exploring how a small character first conceived as a British schoolgirl became a global icon worth millions.
It brings together the largest-ever display of Hello Kitty merchandise. There are also creative collaborations with contemporary artists and new video works that rethink what she means today.
