Get into the festive mood against the iconic backdrop of Meriken Park’s waterfront. Since 1995, this annual festival has been drawing thousands of visitors to dance under the stars to live folk music and performances.
What happens?
Like other Bon celebrations, the festival features a massive traditional yagura (elevated platform) where professional dancers and musicians perform. Attendees dance around the yagura to live performances of folk songs from Kobe and beyond.
Beyond the dance floor, the event includes food stalls, character goods for sale, and carnival games.
