Kuwana Suigo Fireworks Festival in Mie Prefecture is a large display with over 10,000 rockets.

What happens?

It takes place on the banks of the Ibi River and celebrates the completion of the Ise Bridge in 1934. The festival feature underwater fireworks as well as impressive designs such as Niagara Falls and Star Mines (both above and under the water!). Get there early to enjoy the summer festival atmosphere and wear a yukata if you have one.

Tickets

All seats are paid and start from ¥2,000. There will be some free-viewing spots, but you may have to go hunting. General sales start June 21, 2025. If you live in the city, you can apply earlier.

How to get there

The venue is along Ibi River around 18 minutes on foot from either Kuwana Station or Nishi-Kuwana Station.
