Say no to mass-produced souvenirs. If you’re looking for a unique piece of pottery to bring back home from Kyoto, you’ll want to check this festival out.
What happens?
The Gojō Wakamiya Pottery Festival is a summer ceramics market held in central Kyoto.
Reviving the long-running Tōki Festival, once held on nearby Gojōzaka Street, the event brings together potters and ceramic artists from across the region. Expect to find a wide range of handmade wares — from everyday pieces to more sculptural or decorative work.
