Ennichi is a traditional festival day said to bring you closer to the gods, and at this Tanabata celebration in Kyoto, it also means nostalgic games and glowing lanterns.

How to get there
The festival takes place at Joyo Gorigori-no-Oka, also known as the Kyoto Prefectural Kizugawa Sports Park.
From Kyoto Station, take the Nara Line to Nagaike Station, then walk about 6 minutes to the venue. The entire journey should take around 45 minutes.
