What to expect
Stroll through the bamboo forest of Kikyou no Sato Garden, in front of Kokushoji Temple, and discover a 5-meter Christmas tree, glowing bamboo lanterns, and fairy-tale-inspired displays against the tranquil backdrop of rural Kyoto.
The annual installation is designed to seamlessly blend with the surrounding nature and offers a tranquil alternative to the city’s more lively illuminations.

How to get there
From Kyoto, take the JR Sagano Line to Kameoka Station, then the Keihan Kyoto Kotsu Bus Route 40 to Inokura. It’s about 5 minutes on foot from there.
