Hisaya Odori Park turns wonderfully cosy — and European-ish — for Christmas.
What happens?
Nagoya’s Christmas Market returns with an expanded venue and room to sit, snack, and soak up the atmosphere.
Beneath the towering Christmas tree, vendors serve the market’s signature Mandel, almond pastries baked on the spot, along with classic Stollen and cups of spiced Glühwein. There will also be sausages and a variety of hearty soups and stews, continuing the German theme.
Oh, and Santa will make an appearance, too.
Schedule 2025
The market runs from Friday, December 5, to Thursday, December 25. On weekdays, it opens from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Saturdays and Sundays, it begins earlier, going from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
On 24 and 25 December, it opens from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Santa is scheduled to pay a visit on Saturdays and Sundays at 11:15 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:15 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 4:45 p.m. On 24 and 25 December, catch him at 2:15 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 4:45 p.m. Each session allows photos only for the first fifty groups, so plan accordingly.
