Before Shakespeare or kabuki, there was Noh.
What happens?
Experience one of Japan’s oldest performing arts, set against the backdrop of Osaka Castle’s Nishinomaru Garden.
Noh is a traditional form of theater that traces its roots back to 14th-century Japan. Performed with masks, music, and stylized movement, Noh is all about atmosphere. Even if you don’t follow every word, you’ll likely find the costumes and makeup mesmerizing, and the overall effect is haunting.
Schedule 2025
Performances take place on May 24 (Saturday) and 25 (Sunday). While the actual show begins at 6:30 p.m., gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets range from ¥4,500 for A seats to ¥12,000 for premium SS seats. When booking, you can choose between a “rain transfer” ticket, which allows entry to the indoor backup venue, or a “refund” ticket in case of cancellation.
