The Osaka Marathon lets you see the city with a different atmosphere. One filled with cheering, sweating, and a winter’s glow.
Entry
Entry usually starts from August to September for domestic runners and November to December for runners coming from overseas. Entry prices were ¥17,000 (domestic runners) and ¥19,000 (overseas runners) for 2024.
Course
The course starts at the Osaka Prefectural Government Building and finishes in the Osaka Castle Park. You’ll see the major sights of Osaka City, including the castle, Shitennoji Temple, and Midōsuji Avenue. There are some spikes of elevation towards the end, but nothing dramatic. The time limit is 7 hours.
