What happens?
Find 30 Pokémon photo spots featuring life-size cutouts, murals, and themed installations scattered across Osaka Station City, Umekita Green Place, Grand Front Osaka, and Grand Green Osaka.
Looking for something more interactive? Operation Mega Evolution is a (ticketed) mystery-solving rally that begins at the South Gate Square of Osaka Station City. You’ll get to choose one of five partner Pokémon (Charizard, Gyarados, Ampharos, Gardevoir, or Lucario).
Once you receive your walking rally kit, follow clues through the surrounding neighborhood to complete the course. The goal? Help your partner Pokémon Mega Evolve.
There’s a physical reward at the end: a Mega Evolution–themed clear pouch and an acrylic charm featuring the Pokémon you teamed up with.
Sad news for Pikachu people — he doesn’t make the cut as a rally partner this time, but you will spot him around town.

Spotting the photo spots is free, but tickets for the mystery-solving rally cost ¥1,900 (includes one kit). Purchase tickets through the official website.
