Each year, 300,000 residents of Fukushima and beyond line the banks of the Shakado River in Sukagawa City for the prefectures’s largest fireworks festival.
How to get there
The festival location is a 10-minute walk from JR Sukagawa station. Sukagawa is a city in central Fukushima Prefecture.
Tickets
For the best views of the fireworks, we recommend buying a ticket for one of the seated areas. Tickets for unreserved seating which are bought in advance cost ¥3,500, compared to ¥4,000 on the day. If you are planning to go with a group, you could opt for the round table seats which cost ¥18,000 in advance or ¥19,000 on the day.
