What happens?
This is one of Osaka’s most stylish seasonal traditions. Held in the heart of the bustling Umeda district, this annual celebration brings classic summer matsuri charm to the city.
There will be discounts for those donning yukata, pop-up events in plazas, and plenty of chances to snap photos with lanterns, parasols, and festival backdrops. There will also be local performers taking the stage with Bon Odori dancing and live music.
Schedule 2026
The Bon Odori is scheduled for July 10 and 11 this year and the ennichi street fair is set to be held from July 10 to 12. A bunch of other events and activations are planned to be announced towards the end of June, so keep an eye on the official website for more details.
How to get there
The festival takes place across several venues, including Grand Front and the JR Osaka Station event space.
