The holiday season lights up in a big way with massive Christmas displays, a market, and unique illuminations at Wonder Night Hill, taking place at Osaka’s Harvest Hill.
What happens?
Wonder Night Hill is one of the largest illumination events in southern Osaka.
Take a walk through a fantastical forest of lights with a towering 12-meter-tall Christmas tree, an illuminated Christmas market, and quirky attractions like glowing seesaws and a giant mammoth robot.
In addition to the illuminations, the event offers a variety of fun activities, such as grass sledding, archery, a merry-go-round, and a Ferris wheel. There will also be food stalls.
Schedule
The event goes from November 1, 2024 to January 26, 2025, 5:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. (last entry 8:30 p.m.).
However, keep in mind that the illuminations will not take place every day. Here are the dates for the illuminations:
- November 1–4, 8–10, 15–17, 22–24, 29–30
- Every day in December except for December 4, 10–12, 18, and 31
- January 2–5, 10–13, 17–19, 24–26
Tickets
- Adults: ¥1,500
- Children: ¥800
- Children (under 3): Free
- Dogs: ¥600
Note that on Fridays, Saturdays, and from December 23 to 25, the admission fee for adults is ¥1,800.
How to get there
To reach Sakai Green Museum Harvest Hill from Osaka Station, take the JR Osaka Loop Line to Tennoji Station, then transfer to the Nankai Koya Line, heading to Izumigaoka Station. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. From Izumigaoka Station, exit and head to Terminal 6, where you can catch the Nankai Bus bound for Harvest Hill. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes.
