Inspired by nature and the elements, teamLab's permanent exhibition, teamLab: Field of Wind, Rain and Sun, is housed on the grounds of a can factory in Higashi Osaka. Artworks What sets this teamLab exhibition apart from teamLab Borderless and teamLab Planets in Tokyo is its distinctive location in an industrial-turned-greenland space. Each of the artworks utilizes the elements of wind, rain, and sun. The artworks you can see at teamLab Field of Wind, Rain and Sun include: Enso of the Sun: Displayed at midday, when the sun is at its highest point. Those who climb the stairs will see a full circle rainbow of light Ephemeral Crystallized Rain: On a night of heavy rain, the rain falling on the grass will transform into an artwork illuminated with lights. Spatial Calligraphy of Light and Wind: On sunny days with wind, this artwork will appear. Field of Wind, Rain and Sun: A grassland that plays music as you walk. Life is an Ephemeral Light Born in the Sea of Darkness: Displayed at dusk to dawn, ephemeral light comes out of darkness. Sea of the Sun: Shown throughout the day, this artwork is created using glass rocks which shine. Tea in Spontaneous Order -- Dynamic Equilibrium Color: When the tea is poured, it begins to glow. How to buy tickets for teamLab: Field of Wind, Rain and Sun As of the time of writing, you can only buy tickets on the official teamLabs website. There are two admission ticket types to choose from: a daytime and a night-time one. Note that different artworks will be displayed at various times of the day. The daytime ticket costs and includes the "Rainbow Field Set" consisting of a fig cake, matcha warabi mochi, and a drink. The nighttime ticket is priced at and includes the same items as above, along with spiced almonds and an alcoholic drink. Keep in mind that reservations cannot be cancelled after purchase, and that there may be no same-day reservations available in some cases. How to get to teamLab: Field of Wind, Rain and Sun For those coming by train, take the Kintetsu Railway to Wakae-Iwata Station. From there it is roughly a 12-minute walk to the Can Can Factory. Things to do nearby The factory is in Higashi Osaka. While there isn’t much in the nearby area, the Shiba Ryotaro Memorial Museum is about a 20-minute train ride away.
