Basho no Yakata Museum

A museum dedicated to the brief visit of the poet Matsuo Basho, who wrote about the town and declared its onsen to be on of Japan’s top three.

There is some information in English (in the form of a printed leaflet) and a traditional Japanese garden, as well as examples of local lacquerware.
