Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is one of the world’s largest aquariums. It’s famous for its whale shark exhibit and has 77 tanks.

How to buy tickets
You can buy tickets for Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium online, or in person. Tickets cost ¥2,180 for adults, ¥1,440 for high school students, and ¥710 for junior high school and elementary school students. Children under 6 can get in for free. Those with disabilities can enter for free with one care giver, if they are able to provide a certificate (full list of accepted certificates here).
How to get to Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium
The best way to get to the aquarium is to drive. It takes about 2 hours from Naha Airport and there is free parking at Ocean Expo Park. You can also take an express bus, but that will take about 3 hours and cost about ¥2,500 depending on the bus company.
