Kokusai Dori is the main street of Naha, Okinawa’s biggest city on the southwest side of the main island.
It’s the place where you’ll find all the big Japanese chain stores like Don Quijote and Laox, lots of restaurants serving Okinawan specialties like Okinawan Soba noodles, sea grapes, pork belly and taco rice. It’s also absolutely packed with tourists and souvenir shops. However, if you’re looking for beachwear or equipment before heading to the beach, this is the place to do it.
Palette Kumoji—Naha’s largest mall—is located towards the western end of Kokusai Dori, right next to Prefectural Office Station on the monorail.
