LaLaport Fukuoka is a massive shopping park complex, owned by the same company as Urban Dock LaLaport Toyosu.
Though it’s a bit off the beaten path from central Hakata, LaLaport is your one-stop shop for all your shopping needs. Whether you’re looking for the latest fashion or exclusive Kyūshū goods, you’ll find it all here.
In addition to its over 200 shops, some of the standout features include the Fukuoka Toy Museum, Market 351 (inspired by the former fruit and vegetable market that once occupied the site), and KidZania.
LaLaport Fukuoka is famous for its impressive 24 m RX-93ff vGundam statue. Each hour, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Gundam moves to the main theme tune of Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack. At night, the statue lights up and features a special show.
Inside the mall, you’ll also find other Gundam exhibits, and a wide range of merchandise to buy.
