One of Japan’s most enjoyable museums, this place is dedicated to the inventor of Japan’s most famous food: instant noodles.
As well as vibrant displays of packaging over the years, there are hands-on noodle experiences to try, a movie-theater and reproduced original house of the inventor. You can design your own cup of noodles for just ¥300 – from the design to the ingredients and the soup base, which is a pretty unique souvenir. If you want a real learning curve, you can make your own noodles from scratch for the same price in the kitchen classes – although you will likely be surrounded by children (but who cares).
