A large indoor market with lots of fresh produce including giant crabs, fish, fruit, vegetables, and flowers. Along with the fresh produce there is also dried fish, nori, pickles, and even clothes and alcohol.
The market is most well known for fresh fish, so there are numerous sushi shops scattered throughout the market. So if you want to get some Japan Sea sushi at an affordable price, then this is the place to come.
Unlike the much bigger Tsukiji market in Tokyo, the market seems to be much more consumer focused, so tourists are a little more welcome! If you want to hang out with some of the market staff, there is even a market ‘yokocho’ (drinking alley).
