A 150m stretch of covered shopping arcade (known as shotengai in Japanese), this one is dedicated to all things kitchen-ware. Considering Osaka is nicknamed Japan’s kitchen, you’re in a pretty good spot to be picking up the best tools and ingredients you can hope for. From Japanese knives to bamboo-ware to takoyaki machines, it has everything, and if you leave with nothing, you’re a stronger person than most (and also a bit crazy).
