teamLab Botanical Garden is a stunning digital art installation inside Osaka’s Nagai Park. It’s from the same art collective behind Tokyo’s teamLab Planets — so expect an immersive experience.
Located inside an existing botanical garden, teamLab Botanical Garden is an experiment in the co-existence of digital art and nature. Art pieces are responsive to their surroundings, meaning there’ll be changing colors and moving lights. Of course this means that the exhibiton is only open at night, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m.
Some special art installations are only shown for a particular season; it is best to check the official website to see which ones are currently on display.
How to buy tickets
Tickets can only be bought online, not at the venue. They cost ¥1,800 for adults (high school students and above) or ¥500 for junior high school students and younger.
