It’s time to drink — as the name of this bar in Kyoto says!
What’s Bar Time to Drink?
Different from other bars, this hidden spot is open from 2 p.m., allowing tired tourists and locals to rest their feet and enjoy a daytime drink. With its calm atmosphere, this sophisticated bar offers a careful curation of spirits that embody Japanese tastes.
From Japanese whiskey to domestic craft gin, you can while away the hours tasting the best of Japanese spirits. It’s the place you go for quiet reflection, rather than a lively night out.
On our visit, we tried one of the original cocktails, which combined matcha and yuzu and was decorated with bright pink flowers. Prices vary, but we paid ¥2,500 for our cocktail — not cheap, but the attention to detail and originality made the price worth it.
Notably, the bar does not charge a cover, no matter the time of day.
