What to expect
The Tottori Prefectural Museum of Art opens its doors on March 30, 2025. Set in Kurayoshi, Tottori Prefecture, the museum marks its debut with a lineup of live performances, artist talks, workshops, and a parade.
Schedule
The grand opening takes place on March 29, 2025.
Here are some highlights:
- 10:30–12:00: Discussion panel with leading figures in the world of contemporary art
- 11:00–20:30: Performances by acts such as White Rabbits Jazz Band, Bumpkin Pumpkin Jazz Orchestra, and MALTA Hit & Run
- 13:30–15:30: Opening parade from Kurayoshi Ginza Street to the museum, featuring musicians, artists, and performers
- 10:00–20:00: Arts and crafts market featuring works by local artisans and hands-on workshop
- 19:30–21:00: Light show and closing ceremony
Entry and Tickets
The event is free to attend. However, some talks require reservation.
How to get there
On the day of the event there will be a free shuttle bus operating from the Chubu General Office, with departures every 30 minutes from 9 a.m. o 6 p.m.
