The city of Hannan in Osaka prefecture hosts a unique festival in Autumn each year in which 20 yagura – towers that are typically stationary at the center of a festival – are carried aloft and paraded around the town.
The 2023 parade takes place on October 1 from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Yagura are carried up the steps into Hata Shrine on October 8th, and the festival continues on October 9th.
