Illuminations at Hirakata Amusement Park in Osaka

¥1,600 – ¥5,500
Hotel Options

Hirakata Park’s Amusement Park of Light brings a mix of glowing gardens, lantern-lit paths, and nighttime rides.

What happens?

Hirakata Park’s winter lights return with a new theme marking the 70th anniversary of the Rose Garden. So, expect to see roses feature prominently across the displays.

The familiar Flower and Fairy Tree remains, this time decorated with roses, and the Lantern Square has been reworked with rose motifs, too.

Suggested Activity
Take a Day Trip to Mount Fuji (ex. Tokyo)
Get up close to Mt. Fuji, Japan's most famous symbol and highest mountain.

Compared with last year’s highlights — the towering 13-metre tree, the 500 lanterns, and the fortune-telling fountain — this season has new interactive areas include the Magical Dress, where colors shift as if by fairy magic, and spaces designed for “oshi-katsu” (supporting your favorite idol) photo sessions.

From January 24, 2026, early cherry-blossom decorations will also be added.

The ride line-up continues to be a major draw. More than 20 attractions operate after dark, including the Sky Walker, with its 80-metre view of Osaka, and the Cycle Monorail, now updated with illuminated tracks. The Rose Merry-Go-Round has also returned in a special anniversary version.

There are also daytime floral displays, blending real blooms with the lighting installations for a different experience before sunset.

Schedule 2025

The illuminations at Hirakata Amusement Park begin on November 11, 2025 and continue until April 5, 2026.

Early cherry blossom decorations will be added from January 24, 2026.

Admission to the park costs ¥1,600 for adults and ¥1,000 for kids.
