What to expect
From June 1 to August 21, 2024, the Dojima River Forum is hosting the second edition of Immersive Museum, a unique, multi-sensory exhibition that attracted over 500,000 visitors in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka last year.
Dive into the world of post-impressionist art, where iconic works such as Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Seurat’s A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte are projected in a vast, immersive space.
Visitors can walk freely and experience the art with all their senses, creating a unique connection with the masterpieces.
The exhibition runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, with the last admission at 7 p.m.
Admission and tickets
You can buy your tickets online. Tickets are required for elementary school students and above and vary in price. Here are the prices for adults:
- Weekdays: ¥2,500 in advance; ¥2,700 on the day
- Weekends and holidays: ¥2,700 in advance; ¥2,900 on the day
There is free admission for up to two preschoolers per adult.
How to get there
The venue is Dojima River Forum (1-1-17 Fukushima, Fukushima-ku, Osaka 553-0003). This is a 4-minute walk from Exit 6 at Nakanoshima Station on the Keihan line, a 6-minute walk from Exit 2 at Shin-Fukushima Station on the JR Tozai line, and an 8-minute walk from Fukushima Station on the Hanshin line.
