This Mount Fuji town will celebrate more than 100,000 lavender shrubs.
What happens?
This is the time of year when the town of Fujikawaguchiko gets a brush of purple over its landscape. Taking place mainly in Oishi Park on the north side of Lake Kawaguchi, this event boasts 100,000 lavender across town. Take advantage of the lavender-flavored ice cream at Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center next door to the park.
For more lavender, visit Yagizaki Park, but be warned that they don’t come pictured with the iconic Mt. Fuji view.
