The Kōrankei Gorge is home to around 4,000 color-changing maples. This year there will be illuminations from sundown until 9 p.m. throughout November as part of the annual autumn festival. There will also be a host of tasty fall treats, from dango to special ramen dishes.
How to get there
From Nagoya, Kōrankei can be reached via multiple routes. One of the simplest is to catch the Meitetsu Line to Higashi-Okazaki (30 minutes), then catch a Meitetsu bus from there (70 minutes).
