The Kyotophonie Borderless Music Festival hosts some of the most talented musicians from around the world. You’ll hear a range of different instruments and styles, from Japanese-Canadian singers to Argentinian rhythm beats.
The festival also takes place in fall.

This year’s edition will feature a diverse lineup of performances throughout April, highlighting a mix of international and Japanese artists across different genres.
The festival opens opens on Sunday, April 19, with a performance by South African musical project Msaki & Tubatsi, setting the tone for the month-long program across Kyoto. The festival closes on Saturday, May 16, with Dora Morelenbaum, a member of Latin Grammy–winning group Bala Desejo
