A Summer illumination with all the city’s best locations all lit up, this is a great time to explore Nara late into the evening. The five story pagoda of Kofukuji Temple, Yakushiji Temple and Todaiji Temple will all be bathed in flattering lights along with plenty of others. Most sites are free but a few require entry fees of a few hundred yen. There are a few walking trails to see the different sites and some spots will have special viewing events on certain nights.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, many events have been canceled. Always check official sites before heading to an event.Light Up Promenade
