Watch as 3,000 rockets are launched into the sky against the city skyline in a festival originally created to pray for the port’s safety and to bring visitors to the area.

Schedule

The event will start with a 15-minute drone show beofe the main event of 3,000 fireworks kicks off. The entire event is scheduled to run from 8 p.m. to around 8:50 p.m.

Note that it will be canceled in case of severe weather.

How to get there

The festival is held at Wakayama Port, a roughly 10-minute walk from Nankai Electric Railway Wakayama Port Station.

You can get also get there by a 17-minute bus and then a 12-minute walk from Wakayama Station or by getting two short trains to Wakayamako Station and walking 13 minutes. You can also get to Wakayamako Station directly from Osaka’s Namba Station in 1 hour and 10 minutes.
