In order to celebrate the completion of the Itsukushima Shrine restoration, there will be fireworks shot into the sky almost every Saturday in January on Miyajima. This was a welcome announcement since the indefinite cancellation of the Miyajima Underwater Fireworks in 2021.
What will happen?
300 fireworks will be shot into the sky at 6 p.m. on January 14, 21, and 28. From 3 p.m. there will be around 30 food stalls, crafts, games, and other attractions.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
