Wander through a magical, light-filled world in the heart of Osaka.
What happens?
The Namba Light Journey (Hikari Tabi) is an illumination spectacle in the heart of Namba, Osaka. It takes visitors on a trip of lights, immersive art installations, and digital projections — and it’s free.
The festival usually runs nightly from 5 p.m., so you can enjoy the lights as soon as the sun sets.
Highlights 2025
There will be an 18-meter “light waterfall” with falling, shimmering droplets, a glowing “gate of light”, and a giant projected moon with a leaping rabbit. There will also be an installation made from repurposed blooms.

The illuminations begin daily at 5 p.m. and run until midnight.
