Eight acclaimed sake breweries from across Japan come together in Osaka.

What to expect

Ever dined out and wondered what to order off the nihonshu menu? Here’s your chance to up your izakaya game: taste iconic sake side by side, compare notes, and find a few new favorites.

The line-up spans the country: GI-tagged Nanbu Bijin from Iwate, Dewazakura from Yamagata, Masumi from Nagano’s Suwa Lake area, and Tokyo’s Sawanoi, among others.

Tickets

You can purchase tickets in advance through the official website and save a few hundred yen.

The 10-ticket bundle costs ¥2,700 (¥3,000 on the day) and the 5-ticket bundle costs ¥1,500 (¥1,700 on the day).

Note that only cashless payment methods are accepted at the event.

Schedule

This event runs from August 1 to 17. Weekday timings are 3 to 9:30 p.m. On weekends and holidays, the event starts earlier, beginning at noon and wrapping up again at 9:30 p.m. The time for last orders is 9 p.m. every day.

How to get there

The venue is Rohto Heart Square, Umekita Park, about a 6-minute walk from Osaka Station.
