ROHM Illumination

Cancelled
4:45pm – 10:00pm
Free

This was Kyoto’s largest illumination with over 860,000 lights and some stunning spaces. Highlights included the well-known pair of Yamamomo trees which mark the entrance to the glowing tree-lined avenue and the Ensemble of Light. There were music performances and shows – all in Nagura Park close to the ROHM company headquarters. The event had been held since 1995.

ROHM announced in 2022 that the illuminations will be no more, citing energy concerns and the Covid-19 pandemic.
