Souriike is a large pond in Chita City, Aichi Prefecture. It’s a popular plum blossom spot.
What happens?
On the edge the pond is Souri-midoritohana-no-fureai Park, home to 5,100 individual plum trees and 25 different varieties, which flower from mid-February until mid-April.
Entry to the park is free. Usually various events are staged in the park over the period of the festival.

How to get there
The station that provides best access to the park is Teramoto — a 25-minute journey from Meitetsu Nagoya Station. From Teramoto, it’s a long walk or a short bus ride.
