Souriike Plum Blossom Festival

10:00am – 5:00pm
Free

Souriike is a large pond in Chita City, Aichi Prefecture. On the edge the pond is Souri-midoritohana-no-fureai Park, home to 5,100 individual plum trees and 25 different varieties, which flower from mid February until mid April.

Entry to the park is free. Usually various events are staged in the park over the period of the festival, but those have been cancelled for 2022.

The station that provides best access to the park is Teramoto — a 25-minute journey from Meitetsu Nagoya Station. From Teramoto, it’s a long walk or a short bus ride.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, many events have been canceled. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
