This day-visit onsen (ie. not attached to accommodation) is a good place to head in Nozawa Onsen if you can’t handle the scalding temperature of the free onsen sprinkled around the village. The coolest pool here is about 42 degrees celsius, which is a significant drop from the approximately 48 degrees of the public baths.
Admission to the baths is ¥500 for adults and ¥300 for children. You can bring your own towel, or you can buy one at the front desk. Small towels are on sale for ¥200 while a bath towel will cost you ¥500.
Unlike a lot of onsen, Furusato no yu is tattoo friendly.
