Ghibli Park opened in Nagoya in November 2022. Part theme park, part art gallery this place is a must-visit destination for Studio Ghibli fans.

At the moment three parts of the park are open to the public; Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, the Hill of Youth, and Dondoko Forest. Two other areas — the Valley of Witches and Mononoke Village — are still under construction.

Ticket must be purchase online in advance, with separate websites for domestic and international sales. Prices vary depending on whether you go on a weekday or weekend, and which sections of the park you opt to visit. Keep in mind that there is a lot of traffic on the booking websites on ticket release days — you may be in queue for a few hours.

For a much easier time, we recommend joining this tour. It includes entrance to Ghibli Park, and one night’s accommodation with breakfast.
