Katsura Bridge is celebrated as a “power spot” for those seeking love. This iconic red bridge is also among the most photographed and recognizable landmarks in Shuzenji.
There are actually five bridges over the Katsura River, but Katsura Bridge is the most famous. It is located next to the Bamboo Forest Path, another popular spot.
What is Katsura Bridge?
According to legend, if you cross all five of the red bridges over the Katsura River while making a wish to find love, your wish will come true. Each bridge is said to offer its own unique blessing.

How to get to Katsura Bridge
It takes 13 minutes from Shuzenji Station to get to Katsura Bridge. Simply take the bus from the station to Shuzenji Onsen. From there, it is a 5-minute walk. The overall trip takes 13 minutes and costs ¥260.
