A tiny ski-resort connected to an onsen and hotel with a single lift and just one 900m green run.

The slope is quite gentle and ideal for beginners or children. Adult lift passes too are a bargain at just ¥2,500 for a full day or ¥1,800 for four hours. Kids can ride all day for ¥2,000 or ¥1,200 for 4 hours.

For those higher than beginner level, you might get a little bored with the course. However, since it isn’t very steep and is usually uncrowded, it’s a good place to practice new tricks and skills.

One of the features of Kyukamura is the great onsen, which you can jump into after your skiing. A day pass for the onsen is ¥500. Additionally, there is a comfortable lounge looking out over the ski area, so anyone not riding can lounge inside and enjoy the view over a cup of coffee.

If you’re looking for more advanced skiing or boarding, you should head to the neighboring Seki Onsen Ski Resort.
