Megane Bridge, which translates to Spectacles Bridge, is a bridge built over the Nakashima River. It was originally built in 1634 with the help of a Chinese monk belonging to the Kofukuji Temple.

The bridge is believed to be one of the oldest stone arch bridges in Japan. This bridge, alongside Nihonbashi Bridge and Kintaikyou Bridge, are the three most famous bridges in Japan.

As you walk down the river, you will see several more stone bridges, which were built after the Spectacles Bridge. If you walk down the steps near the bridge, there is a 20 heart-shaped stone wall, which is believed to be a power spot to bring good luck.
